I'm a software consultant with experience helping companies outsource development projects to US and international teams. I help companies determine the best approach for development projects and use my development networks to develop and deploy software applications and websites.

Other projects

I've been involved in many sites, but I wanted a site that would always be my site. A site where I can talk about my interests and experiment with technology. This is that site.

Currently, I'm focusing on Alumz.com and Ragester.com but the MarkBot is always there for fun. I'm considering letting all transcripts be viewed but I haven't made a final decision on that yet.

Webbieworld is doing well too, and is still a great place to promote a new site.

Bot or not
The web's first true Turing Test

You may be chatting with Mark.... or maybe a bot emulating Mark. It is up to you to decide and it could be either at any given time! My own version of the Turing Test, in fact, it is the first real web-based Turing Test.

Getting ready for the Loebner Event in England


Updates - 5/1/2005

Lots of things going on. Alumz.com is going strong and Ragester is picking up steam.

I've also have a number of requests to do freelance work, which I'm considering again after focusing on other things.

Updates - 8/9/2003

I know it's been a long time since I updated last. I just found out that the Markbot made the finals of the Loebner contest, which means I actually get to test it in a controlled environment for the first time.

There are tons of new transcripts, but one group in particular stood out. Someone with the nickname Myrd decided to pit the Markbot against other bots.. an unsolicited, but certainly welcome event. Markbot did well in comparison (very well, I think).
